FAQs

  1. Do your ventless hoods have approvals?
    Yes, all of our hoods are approved to UL safety, CSA and NSF standards. Our SAVG PALI and SAV-O MISTRAL are certified to meet the EPA 202 test method in accordance with NFPA 96. Specific additional approvals in New York City and the City of Los Angeles have been obtained.
  2. Can a fire suppression system be installed on the ventless hoods?
    Yes. If your local conditions or your appliance requires a fire suppression, the prepiping can be installed at our factory. The balance of the installation must be installed by the local Ansul installer.
  3. How often do we have to change the filters?
    Anywhere between 4-6 months depending on the type and amount of product you are cooking. The grease filter is cleanable in a dish machine or pot sink. The particulate and carbon filters should be changed. It is recommended to purchase extra sets to have on hand.
  4. How loud is the unit?
    Our units are 70 decibels, which is similar to an overhead hood.
